Mrs. Bonnie Fay Morrow

Bonnie Fay Beal Morrow, 86, of Union Grove, AL died Thursday, January 16, 2025 at her residence. Nanny departed this life and entered into her well-earned rest in the quiet and stillness of the early morning surrounded by family with immense love. Mrs. Morrow was born July 16, 1938, in Eddy, AL to Johnnie Beal and Blanche Thompson Beal. She married Carl “Bud” Morrow on July 11, 1954 in Iuka, MS. They celebrated 70 years of faithful love in July 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother and “Nanny” to 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She found great joy in making sure everyone had a full belly. Her banana pudding, pecan pies and peanut brittle were most sought after at family gatherings. She loved caring for her grandchildren and great grandkids. She also enjoyed tending her garden, canning fresh vegetables and shelling pecans. In her later years you could often find her in the sunroom watching the hummingbirds and animals on the farm. She was a fierce protector and loyal caregiver. Her very presence would always radiate a warm love that was felt by all who knew her. Her gracious words “I Love You so much Sweetie” are forever etched in our hearts. She was a resident of Union Grove, AL for 70 plus years. She was a member of Guntersville Church of Christ. She is survived by her loving husband: Bud Morrow; three of her children: Dannie Morrow, Steve Morrow Sr. (fiancée Connie Willard), Linda Morrow Helton (husband David), and son in law Steve Lane. Her Grandchildren: Stefanie (Danny) Benson, Steve (Shelley) Morrow Jr, Sherilyn Morrow, Shauna (Adam) Wilburn, Jaclyn Parsons, Clay (Shantelle) Helton, Cyndel (Russ) Fortenberry, Dakota (Casey) Helton, Raven Blomeyer. Her Great Grandchildren: Austin (fiancée Anna Anderson), Trenton, Addyson and Remington Benson; Xander Morrow, Dailyn, and Maliya Wilburn, Emory (Alex) Allen, Elijah Morrow, Devin and Brayden Parsons, Coen, Reese and Case Fortenberry, Mason and Carter Blomeyer, Austin, Finley and Ellie Grace Helton, Arria, Deklan and Ronon Helton. She was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Faye Morrow Lane; and her granddaughter Bonnie Marie Morrow; brothers: Orville, Waylon, and Leon Beal; sisters: Alvarine Nunley, Nellie Ruth Beal, Laura Bennett. Visitation will be 12pm-1pm for Family only and 1-2pm for Friends, Monday, January 20, 2025 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2pm with Philip Bradley, and James Dudley officiating. Eulogy by Steve Morrow Jr and Prayer by Elijah Morrow. Burial will be Arab Memorial Cemetery in Arab with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing. Pallbearers will be Dannie Morrow, Steve Morrow Sr, Clay Helton, Dakota Helton, Austin Benson and Brayden Parsons. Honorary Pallbearers are David Helton, Trenton Benson, Xander Morrow, Austin Helton and Coen Fortenberry. In lieu of flowers please make donations to American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children's Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
