Mr. Boyd King

Mr. Boyd King of Union Grove, Alabama; passed away in the early hours of Friday - May 28, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Mr. King was born on the 20th of July in 1936 to the late Alfred King and Dimple Maples King in Marshall County, Alabama. He was a simple man and lived his life the fullest. Mr. King is a former residence of Culver City, California but was raised and lived the majority of his life here in Alabama. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves Baseball Team as well as the Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, picking on those whom he loved and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. King had an admiration for mechanical work; he was a self employed individual, owning his very own Mechanical Shop. His work history was also something he was very proud of; formerly working in the Air Craft Industry as well as for Revere Copper & Brass. He will be dearly missed by all. Mr. King leaves behind to celebrate his life and legacy, wife of 64 years, Peggy Joyce Whisenant King; sons, Randy King and Steve King (Brenda); daughters, Cindy Durham (Vernon); sisters, Linda Stracener and Betty Whisenant; grandchildren, Keith Durham (Ashley), Amanda Narrell (Clay), Sara Sparks (Taylor) and Shellie King; great grandchildren, Blake Wilemon, Kaydie Wilmon, McKenna Durham, Kiptyn Durham, Brooklyn Durham, Kinslie Sparks and Jeb Sparks. In addition to his beloved parents; Mr. King is at last reunited with his brother; Joe Wayne King. A visitation will take place at the Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City, Alabama on Tuesday - June 1, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place at the Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City, Alabama on Tuesday - June 1, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Mike Shirley, officiating. Interment will follow services immediately at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Union Grove, Alabama. Pallbearers escorting Mr. King to his final resting place will be; Vernon Durham, Taylor Sparks, Phillip Tyler, Keith Durham, Jamey Wilemon and Blake Wilemon. Honorary Pallbearers will include; Charles Whisenant, Don, Wilburn and Clay Narrell. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel & Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Directing.
