Mrs. Eva Jo Maze

Eva Jo Maze, 99, passed away with loved ones by her side, the morning of January 8, 2023, at her home in the small community of West Point, Alabama. She was a beloved grandmother, mother, sister, and wife. She was born on February 8, 1923, in Walnut Grove, Alabama. She spent her incredible 99 years of life spreading love, joy, sarcasm, and sass to all around her. She was a wonderful cook and kept a neat and tidy house. She loved to crochet, embroider, draw, and garden. Most times, you could find her living life to the fullest through the simple pleasure of sitting on the front porch, enjoying the day with John Henry and her family. Eva Jo is preceded in death by John Henry Maze, her second husband of 40 years; Arelee (Bill) Everett, her first husband, with whom she had four children; and her much-loved daughter, Tilda Carol Everett. She is also predeceased by her parents, Carl and Katie Goble; her two daughters-in-law, Marie Everett and Barbara Everett; her six siblings: Bernie, Olivay, Curt, Wayne, Sue, and Maudie; and her two beloved dogs, Sandy and Sissy. Eva Jo is survived by: Children: Gary Lee Everett, Ronny Dale Everett, and Danny Ray Everett. Former daughter-in-law: Bettie Marie Everett Grandchildren: Angela Carol (Brian) Taylor, Linda Carol (James) Dingler, Daniel Ray Everett, Christopher Lee Everett, Terri Nichole (Jeff) Thompson, Ronny Daylen Everett, Savannah Lynzi Everett, Sheila Dingler, Evelyn Dingler, Charles Dingler, Michael Dingler, Jamie Dingler, Ricky Dingler, Kenny Harrison, and Kyran Everett. Great-Grandchildren: TheaLynn Jessica (Joshua) Watwood, Zackary Caleb (Ashlyn) Dingler, Hannah Layne (Acton) Watkins, Chloe Faith Tolbert, Micah Riley Tolbert, Levi Wade Everett Taylor, Kayley Marie Medley, Trenton Brandon Medley, and Finlee Ellisyn Taylor. Great-Great-Grandchildren: Rebecca Ann-Marie Watwood, Anaken Zane Dingler, and Bentley Edward Watwood. Services will be held at Brindlee Mountain Chapel Funeral Home on January 14, 2023. The visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M., immediately followed by the funeral service. The burial will be at The Watson & Morrow Cemetery. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel & Brindlee Mountain Chapel, directing.
