Tina Jo Holland Knepper

Tina Jo Holland Knepper, 44, of Arab and Holly Pond, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born on March 23, 1982, in Sylacauga, Alabama, Tina lived her life with a fearless spirit, a stubborn streak, a quick sense of humor, and a heart big enough to love everyone around her fiercely. Tina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Joseph “Joey” Knepper; her son, Nickolas Hayden Knepper, and his wife, Tara Knepper; her daughter, Adriana De’Shay Knepper; her granddaughter, Josie Blaire Knepper, who was one of the greatest joys of her life; and her soon-to-be-born grandson, Tucker James Sims, whom she was eagerly awaiting. She is also survived by her mother, Deborah Diane Smith Holland; her father, James Clifford Holland; her stepfather, John "JD" Jacks; and her stepmother, Pam Holland. Tina is survived by her siblings, Ronald “Lee” Smith, Michelle Sims, Joey Ogle, and Billy Ogle, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Tina worked for many years as a Cable Technician at Sundown Aerospace LLC, where she took pride in her work and enjoyed spending time with and goofing around with her coworkers. Those who knew her know that Tina could turn even an ordinary day into a memorable one with her humor and her ability to make people laugh. Outside of work, Tina loved the outdoors. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time in the pool on a hot summer day and being at the ball fields cheering on her children, nieces, and nephews. Some of her happiest moments were spent with her family, especially her granddaughter, Josie. Whether she was riding Josie on the four-wheeler, watching her family play ball, or simply enjoying time together, Tina treasured those moments. Tina was fearless, funny, stubborn, strong, and incredibly big-hearted. She loved her family and friends without hesitation and without limits. She had a way of making people laugh, often by simply being her silly, goofy self. She was the kind of woman who lived life loudly, loved deeply, and never apologized for being exactly who she was. Tina was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Wayne Cole; her grandparents, Nick and Betty Jo Holland; Grandfather, Virgil H. Hill; and her uncle, Joe Lambert. Tina's family will remember her not only for the life she lived, but for the laughter she brought, the strength she showed, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Her memory will live on through her children, granddaughter, grandson, family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved her. In keeping with Tina's wishes, her family will hold a viewing and small service 5:00pm Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Arab Heritage Memorial in Arab, Alabama, followed by cremation. Tina wished for her ashes to be spread at the beach at sunrise or sunset, with the dolphins jumping—a final farewell that reflects her love of the outdoors, the beauty of nature, and the simple moments that brought her joy.
