Doris Helen Moore

April 28, 1934 - May 2, 2022

Mrs. Doris Helen Moore, age 88, of Arab, Alabama, passed away at her home the afternoon of Monday, May 2, 2022. Mrs. Moore was born to Barney and Mary Jane Hollingsworth Sanders April 28, 1934 in Etowah County, Alabama. She and husband, Larry Joe Moore, celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary when he passed away in 2002. She has been a resident of Arab for over 18 years and is a member of the Hebron Church of Christ. Mrs. Moore worked at the Arrow Shirt Factory on the assembly line and in the shipping department. She was proud to be a homemaker for her family and enjoyed her flowers and sewing. Mrs. Moore leaves behind to celebrate and cherish memories her sons, Mark Steven Moore, and Joel Moore (Vickie); her grandchildren, Mallory Harnack (Joey), Rachel Brooks (Virgil), and Kevin Moore; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents; Mrs. Moore is at last reunited with her son, Mitchell C. Moore; her brother, Ralph Sanders; her sisters, Mildred Knudson, Cora Lee Leaphart, Wilma Huber, and Sonja Helton. A private memorial service, officiated by Bro. Brad Howard, will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Enhabit Home Health and asked in lieu of flowers donations be made to Enhabit Home Health and Hospice, 9044 Hwy 431 North, Albertville, AL 35950.
