Mr. Huey Arlet Blanset

December 23, 1943 - January 29, 2022

Mr. Huey Arlet Blanset of the Strawberry Community; Arab, Alabama; passed away on the evening on Saturday – January 29, 2022 at the age of 78 years. Mr. Blanset was born on December 23, 1943 in Jefferson County, Alabama to the late Arlet Blanset and Essie Booth Blanset. Mr. Blanset worked as a commercial painter for Horizon Painting Company. Huey enjoyed going to the casino’s and cherished the time he spent with his family especially his grandchildren. Mr. Blanset was of the Church of God. Mr. Blanset leaves behind to celebrate and reminisce his life; daughters, Tamala Blumenfeld and Lisa Berry (Jason); brothers, Billy Ray Blanset, James Blanset, Ricky Blanset, Jim Dodson, Herman Dodson, Tom Dodson and Ronnie Dodson; sisters, Linda Montgomery, Kay Wallace, Gloria Daily, Sherry Johnson, Lucy Matherson, Flora Martin and Earlene Evans; grandchildren, Nathan Hallman, Erica Bennefield (Bradley), Gatlin Byrams (Briana), Gracelynn Byrams, Hunter Berry (Raven) and Tiffany Berry, Krissy Bradley; as well as 4 great grandchildren. In addition to his beloved parents; Mr. Blanset is at last reunited with his beloved wife; Bertha Ann Blanset; daughter, Serena Darlene Blanset; brothers, Dewey Blanset, Steve Blanset, Albert Dodson and Randy Dodson; sister, Brenda Ferman. A visitation will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Wednesday – February 2, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Wednesday – February 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Emmett Simmons, officiating. Interment to follow services immediately at the Arab Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers escorting Mr. Blanset to his final resting place will be: Tony Hallmark, Jason Berry, Nathan Hallman, Bradley Bennefield, Hunter Berry and Alex Summers.
