Ms Judy Katherine Harbin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Judy Kathrine Harbin, age 77, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at her residence in Arab, Alabama. Judy was born April 5, 1945 to Floyd Wilson and Ailene Whisenant Jackson. Judy was born in Union Grove, Alabama but moved to Hammond, Indiana at the young age of 10. She graduated from high school while in Indiana. Judy returned to Alabama in 1983 and worked in the restaurant /food industry at various businesses in the area. She enjoyed working with people and enjoyed being a caregiver to many. Judy took a job with Syncro Corporation of which she retired. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, camping and spending time with family and friends. Judy and Jim made visits daily to the L Rancho Restaurant and when it closed they found their way to Burnt Knuckles Restaurant. She was a member of Life Gate Baptist Church. Mrs. Harbin is survived by her daughter, Kimberly McCormick; son, Jeremy Jones (Katlynn); step children, Celeste Farinelli and Chris Fainelli; special companion, Jim Hornsby; brother, Wayne C. Jackson (Deanne); sister, Wanda R. Davis (Thomas); grandchildren, Jacob Larry Cook, Rowan Elizabeth Jones, Tisha Allred and Layla Wray; two great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Sharon Wells and Tonya Keller. Judy was preceded in death by: her mother, Ailene Jackson; her father, Floyd Wilson; step-sons, Joseph Martin McCormick and Robert Farinelli; step-daughter, Freda Jo Watkins; sister, Helen R. Sutton. The funeral service for Mrs. Harbin will be on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Arab, Alabama. The visitation will be at the chapel from 4:00 p.m. until the service starts at 6:00 p.m. Cremated remains will be interred at Mt. View Cemetery. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
