Mr. Rocco Anthony Pecora Jr.

Rocco Anthony Pecora Jr., of Huntsville Alabama, peacefully left this earth to enter his eternal resting place on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the age of 86. He was the beloved husband, partner, and best friend of Mary Jo (Westbrooks) Pecora for over 54 years. Their love story was special and an example to their children. The couple started their life together in Louisville, Ky and over the years came to live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Kansas City and finally retiring in Alabama, where his beloved Mer as he called her, called home. Rocco was the proud father of Roxanne Pecora New, Treva (Pecora) Prieb (husband Trenton), Gayla (Garrison) Walker (husband Rob). He was preceded in death by two children Rickey Garrison & Jim Pecora. Rocco had 12 grandchildren &16 great-grandchildren whom he loved very deeply. Rocco was born on October 24, 1936, in Hazelton, PA. He was the son of Rocco Anthony Pecora Sr. and Mary (Cusatis) Pecora. Rocco was one of seven children. He has several nieces and nephews. Often being referred to as the favorite uncle due to his connections he had with each of them. Rocco is now reunited with his parents and brothers Mike, Nick, John & Anthony. He is survived by his only sister, Treva and oldest brother, Philip. Rocco was a quiet leader who led by example and character. Some of the best times of his life were in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl where he and his brother Philip worked side by side at their company Action Advertising. He was proud of the connections and friendships that he made throughout his life. If you knew Rocco, you were considered his friend. Rocco is now in the arms of Jesus, his Lord and Savior. He is free from his earthly pains. We celebrate his beautiful life as we grieve the loss of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. The funeral for Rocco will be held on Tuesday, January 24th at Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church. 3422 Highway 231, Lacey’s Spring, Alabama 35754. A visitation with the family is scheduled from 1:00-2:00pm with service at 2:00pm. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Pallbearers escorting Rocco’s earthly body to its final resting place are Jordan New, Eddie Theron, Trey Garrison, Rob Walker, Andrew Prieb & Trenton Prieb.
